Part three and four of my ombre journey:
Last night I bleached my tips. One side of me kind of regrets it because my hair color was actually really pretty. And now my tips are the neon orange/yellow that I feared of having most and I'm scared of the unbeknownst result of my hair color after I rinse out this ash blonde dye that is settling on my tips as I type. As much as I had tried to restrain myself for 4 days, there was no way the bleach to my ombre transformation was going to just chill in my bathroom drawer. Last night, after seeing the blogpost from Fashion Toast above, I immediately ripped open the bleach packet in a "don't even think twice about it" manner and mindlessly mixed the solution and artfully (without any predispositioned order) painted it on my hair with gloves. I got a really good tutorial and gut-taming confidence booster from watching llymer's video a few months back, which is still fresh in my mind. I highly suggest any other ombre-feigners to watch it here!
On the left is the immediate result I got as soon as I got out of the shower. Brassy grossness. After it dried, it became neon orange grossness. After a few rinses with violet shampoo it toned down to the bottom result, but in the sunlight it is still VERY brassy which is why I am now sitting here with my fingers crossed, hoping that this ash blonde dye will tone it down without frying my hair off.
Then, my next post would be: DIY PIXIE CUTS! (but let's not hope for that, k?)
Ok...gonna check up on my hair. Pray it comes out ok!!!
